Service Learning (SL) has become a popular teaching strategy to work with individuals with disabilities in adapted physical education / physical activity (APE / APA) courses. Despite the increasing popularity of the use of SL in Aff / APA courses, little is known about the experiences of kinesiology students in these contexts. This study examined the experiences of Kinesiology students in a SL project for children with disabilities. Thirty-three founding study kinesiology students enrolled in an APE course participated in a SL project in which they provide children with individualized and developing physical activities with disabilities. The data was charged from a after-SL project reflection attachment. Each reflection attachment was evaluated via a directed approach to qualitative content analysis. Five main topics emerged from the data: (a) Contact and earlier experience, (b) personal growth and academic learning, (c) future career aspirations, (d) pre-acclaimed language and (e) recommendations for APE SL. The results of this study provide multiple effects on the design and structure of SL projects in APE / APA courses.
